WITH US!

Every year we invite the pioneers of the New Nordic startup and tech ecosystem for an unforgettable 48-hour journey from Oslo to Copenhagen (and back) on the legendary full-rigged ship Christian Radich.

Do you want to join a diverse group of entrepreneurs, investors, community builders, domain experts, and other brilliant people for a once-in-a-lifetime voyage? You can look forward to sailing, swimming, climbing the masts, and anchoring meaningful relationships.

Don’t let this opportunity sail away…

GET A GLIMPSE...

And join us for a unique voyage.

  • build relationships

How often do you get to spend 48 hours in close proximity with some of the most amazing founders, operators, investors, and company builders from around the world?

  • LEARN

The sea is unpredictable, meaning one moment, you could be playing chess on the dock, and the next, the crew needs you to be pulling ropes. So don’t expect a set schedule but look forward to pop-up workshops and impromptu talks around the ship.

  • PLAY

Immerse yourself in the energy of the community and open sea. Energize your mind by climbing the mast, enjoying a good book on the dock, or solving challenges with fellow passengers.

FAQs

  • We want to ensure everyone gets the most value from the Voyage, so we handpick the sailors from our application pool. We will get back to you on whether you’ve been assigned a spot closer to departure, in 2024.

  • No, the Voyage is open to enthusiastic sailors of any level of expertise.

  • Safety procedures will be covered by the captain and crew when we embark on the ship. Christian Radich is a dry ship, so there will be no alcohol served on board. BYOB is also not permitted.

  • There are two rooms below the deck with bunk-style sleeping arrangements. Guests must bring their sleeping bags and towels (and pillows - optional).

  • Two cooks and a steward are on board the ship as part of the crew. They will cook and provide food for the journey, including freshly made bread in the mornings.

  • The 48h voyage will be divided up into 4-hour shifts, where you and at least one partner are expected to be on guard.

If weather permits, we might stop to swim in the ocean along the way.

Explore the ship, the mast, and the secrets on board with your fellow sailors.

Besides that, we will crowdsource activities from all of you, so if you have ideas and initiatives, we are all ears!

  • While onboard the ship, it can get cold and wet, so it is necessary to bring waterproof and warm clothes. It’s best to pack clothes that are comfortable and easy to move around in to participate in the activities onboard.

  • There is electricity and plenty of plugs onboard. However, your wifi connection might be choppy on the open sea.

  • The group onboard will be divided into three teams for four-hour shifts. The “crew in training” will participate in watching for other ships, steering the ship, and setting and taking down the sails.

  • The captain and crew have procedures in place for emergencies. In addition, there is a satellite phone on board that can be used in emergencies.

  • If you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend stocking up on seasickness pills and patches before the trip, but if it hits midway, there will be extra pills on board to help out.

  • Christian Radich is a solid, nearly 90-year-old full-rigged ship able to navigate difficult waters. The route of the Voyage mostly takes place in the closed waters between Sweden and Denmark and on through the Oslo Fjord, which makes for a relatively protected journey.

The ship’s captain has the ultimate responsibility and will make informed decisions regarding the route and sail/no sail, which will be communicated to the sailors on the day.

The Windjammer Program

We are collecting donations for the Windjammer Program as part of the Voyage. Windjammer is a one-month program on the Christian Radich for young people who need a fresh start. Windjammer helps ensure that as many people as possible complete upper secondary education as a basis for finding an active and meaningful role in society.

Check out their website and this video if you want to learn more about Windjammer👉

We are specifically raising money for stipends to allow those who do not receive support.

Find more info about the stipends here. More information on how to donate will be shared on the ship.
